Building Our Parish Community

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

On behalf of our Parish Project Advance Team, I would like to express my gratitude to you for your support to our last year's appeal. The final amount raised throughout the Archdiocese was $7.34 million. Our parish was able to raise a total amount of $143,900 with $77,400 remitted to the Archdiocese as our parish share. We received a total rebate amount of $59,555.90 which was used for the general maintenance of our parish facilities.

Today/ tomorrow, in all Masses, we are again launching Project Advance Appeal 2024, the largest Archdiocesan-wide Catholic fundraising project since it began many years ago. This is the one time each year we, as Catholics, come together to give thanks to God for the many gifts we have been given. Thanks to this initiative and our generosity over the years, we have been able to build new Catholic schools, fund shelters for the poor and marginalized, feed families in need, supported evangelization and family life programs, the young and young adults ministry and support for vocations, all here in our Archdiocese. It is our common mission to advance the life saving mission of Jesus that we can build communities of love.

This year we're aiming to raise $160,000 here at Immaculate Conception alone. The amount of $79,900 will go directly to the Archdiocese as our parish share. Any amount or gift above our parish share will go directly to our parish projects this year, such as:

1.   Replacement of old roof at the Gathering Area.
2.   Replacement of defective church lights
3.   Lifting of uneven concrete slabs to prevent tripping hazards
4.   Upgrading our boiler
5.   Upgrading the audio and video systems

As a family in one faith, I sincerely ask you to prayerfully consider your participation and support for this year's appeal. We are not only working to assist the Archdiocese in this fundraiser, but focus on the specific needs of our parish. Your gift means that you recognize the role of the Church in the evangelization and life of our Archdiocese. Your generosity ensures that the people of our parish and Archdiocese will continue to receive spiritual, educational, and social services from the Church.

As your Pastor, I personally support the Project Advance Appeal every year. Last year only 23.66% or 480 donors out of more than 2028 parish families have participated in the campaign. So dear parishioners will you join me this year and the rest of our parish family in sharing a portion of the blessings God has entrusted to each of us? I realize that it may be a challenging year for you, but I would humbly encourage your extraordinary participation and consider giving what you can which is putting your Catholic faith into action. Please prayerfully consider a gift of $50, $100, $150, $200, $250 or more.

Thank you for all you do in our parish, for helping build the legacy of faith by responding and ensuring the ministries of our Church to continue on.
