The Knights of Columbus are hosting the first BBQ of the season! The BBQ will be held on Sunday, May 19 after the 10:15am and 12noon Masses.

The beneficiary of this BBQ is the Gabe Harris Power Wheelchair Fund. Gabe is the 44-year-old son of George & Doris Harris. The family have been long time parishioners of IC since 1992. Gabe has been a quadriplegic since an unfortunate diving accident in July of 2009. Gabe needs full time care and is living at Carelife Fleetwood. His family and friends have been actively trying to purchase a power wheelchair which supports the sip and puff technology so that Gabe can get back some of the independence that he has lost. The cost of the wheelchair is approximately $50,000 and currently they have managed to raise $25,000. Please come and enjoy some delicious food and support Gabe in his quest for independence.
