Pastor's Christmas Message 2020
Once again we rejoice in the opportunity to celebrate the birth of Christ among us. In the midst of this season of joy and hope, we continue to find ourselves in a world beset by problems and troubles especially the spread of the Coronavirus.
The lives of many people have been turned upside down with illness, death, loss of work and much fear and anxiety. But this COVID pandemic will not take away Christmas 2020. It will, however, change the way we celebrate it, especially in our churches and parishes. The restrictions in churches coupled with social distancing have challenged us in our coming together as a community to worship God - the very soul of our people.
For some it seems the light has diminished or gone out. It's true but it is blown again into instant flame by our encounter with another human being. We need each other so that we can gain our strength to keep going. Let us keep our faith through thick and thin and journey together for we know we are never alone. Even if this Christmas is different from the past ones, yet it is not without the great hope of "Emmanuel" God is with us.
On behalf of Fr. Camillus, Fr. John and our parish staff I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for your support, generosity and continued prayers for us and the needs of our parish community.
May the Christ-child Jesus abundantly bestow on you and your families His choicest blessings of Joy, Love, Peace and Prosperity this Christmas and New Year, and keep you all safe.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. Amador M. Abundo Pastor
